Dakhin Rai Nature Camp began as a modest venture with just a couple of rooms. Today, it has grown into a serene eco-resort featuring eight thoughtfully designed accommodations—including traditional mud huts, deluxe family suites, and standard rooms equipped with all modern amenities. Each room comes with an attached washroom, and for those who prefer a closer connection with nature, there’s ample space for tent setups.
Set amidst lush greenery, the resort’s landscape includes large ponds and flourishing gardens where fruits and vegetables are grown organically. From the start, sustainability and harmony with nature have been at the heart of everything we do.
Our food is a highlight—fresh, organic, and mostly grown on-site. Meals are prepared in traditional mud ovens using a wood fire, offering guests a unique, homestyle dining experience.
What sets Dakhin Rai Nature Camp apart is its private jetty and boat, allowing guests to embark on thrilling safaris directly from the resort. This boat is also used for educational tours, field visits, and research projects, reflecting our commitment to learning and conservation.

A Resort with a Purpose
Dakhin Rai Nature Camp was founded with a mission—to support the impactful work of the NGO, Saving Tiger Society. Our aim was to contribute 50% of the resort’s revenue to various community and conservation initiatives. These include a local primary school, health camps, mangrove and tree plantations, solar lighting, plastic-free campaigns, and more.
However, the pandemic hit us hard just a year after we launched, pausing travel and significantly affecting our ability to generate revenue. Despite these challenges, we’ve continued to uphold our responsibilities—staff salaries, electricity, maintenance, and boat upkeep—without compromising our values.

Our location is secluded, far from the hustle and bustle of commercial tourist hubs. Set right by the river, the resort offers exclusive access to nature and tranquillity. Evening boat rides take guests to untouched sandbars, where the chorus of birds returning home accompanies sunsets.
